Leave of Absence Requirements
Vacation Time: Clinical Care Extenders are allowed ONE 2-week vacation during their one year commitment. (You do not need to fill out a Leave of Absence Request form for this. Just let your Department Coordinator that you are taking your vacation time!) However, you still need to make up the shifts you have missed once you return from your vacation.
Absences exceeding 2 weeks would require the CCE to submit a Leave of Absence Request Form and return the completed form to our Leave of Absence Coordinator at [email protected]
Any Questions about leave of absence: contact Our Leave of Absence Coordinator at [email protected]
Graduation Requirements:
You must have completed 240 floor hours in order to graduate from the CCE program. However, you are not required to graduate after completing 240 hours. You can be a part of the CCE Program for as long as you like!
If you leave the program without officially graduating, you will not be able to receive a letter of recommendation.
Just Fill out the program completion form when you are ready to graduate and e-mail your completed form to [email protected]
Questions about the graduation procedures/requirements? E-mail [email protected]
Immunizations and CPR Requirements:
It s VERY important that you keep your immunizations, TB tests, and CPR certification up-to-date at all times.
Have you had a TB test within the last year? In order to be an active CCE, we need to have records of your current TB test results. You need to get a new TB test every 12 months. Don't wait until you receive a TB suspension! If you know your 1-year deadline to get a new TB test is coming up, just get it over with! It is not only for hospital safety reasons, but for your own health also!
Your CPR Certification needs to be renewed every Two Years. First off, if you've been in the CCE program long enough that you need to get re-certified for CPR, congratulations! Remember, it needs to be the AHA: BLS for Healthcare providers certification. Do not wait until you get a CPR suspension to get re-certified!
E-mail Our Immunizations Coordinator at [email protected] if you have any CPR/TB/Immunization related questions
